The Bending Lake Iron Group is proud to announce they are
currently evaluating the viability, quality & quantity of historical Bending
Lake Iron Deposit to produce Merchant Pig Iron (MPI). A historical resource
of 249 Mt of 28.19% Fe was released (Steep Rock Mines Ltd, 1977) and we are
bringing this to current NI43-101 standards. This iron ore would be used in
a process known as Ironmaking Technology Mark Three (ITmk3®) to
produce a high quality iron nugget product that contains essentially pure
iron and carbon. This process technology is available from Kobe Steel.
The Bending lake Iron Deposit is located 280 km northwest of
Thunder Bay 25 km south of Highway 17 along Highway 622. The deposit
is accessible by a well maintained logging road and the northwest extension
of the deposit crosses Highway 622.
Bending Lake Iron Group has acquired 49 mining patents, and
options on 11 patents with the associated 1584859 Ontario Inc and 32 mining
claims (Jan 13/08) associated with Windigo Ridge Resources Inc. covering a
50km˛ area.
