CBC Radio’s Kim Latimer visited the Bending Lake Iron Group
Hardisty Street offices. Ms. Latimer interviewed Henry Wetelainen and Dawn
McKay. Topics of interest were the restoration of our historic building,
the Mineral Prospecting Course that is currently being held at this site and
the future of Bending Lake Iron Group.
Representatives from Bending Lake Iron Group, DST Consulting
Engineers and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) along with
representatives from other government stakeholder agencies met to discuss
the on-going permitting of the project at the Atikokan and Bending Lake
sites.
Dawn McKay, VP Operations, and Allen Raoul, Geologist,
attended the government consultations held in Thunder Bay regarding changes
to the Mining Act and far north mining initiatives.
JULY 2009
Bending Lake Iron Group has been very active in the Atikokan
area. Bending Lake Iron Group and Henry Wetelainen was front page news for
the Atikokan Progress on July 6th. Later in the month, company
representatives addressed the town council at their meeting and held an Open
House for the community at the Atikokan Economic Development Office. (to

Initial discussions were held with Lac Seul First Nation
regarding employment, training, investment and increased aboriginal
participation in the mining industry.
JUNE 2009
Bending Lake Iron Group was one of three mining companies in
the region to be invited to speak to the Chinese Consulate Trade Delegation
during their visit to Thunder Bay. Henry Wetelainen had an opportunity a
few weeks later to attend a follow-up meeting with their representatives in
Toronto.
Representatives from the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR),
Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), Ministry of the Environment (MOE),
Ministry of Transportation (MTO), Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA),
Ministry of Northern Development and Mines and Forests (MNDMF) were invited
to a Project Presentation to Stakeholders to assist Bending Lake Iron Group
in identifying potential targets of opportunity. Kyle Stanfield of DST
Engineering and Jay Mackie, Project Manager shared Bending Lake Iron Group’s
progress to date for both the ITmk3 processing facilities and
open pit iron ore mine and outlined our plan for moving the project forward.

College together with Bending Lake Iron Group announce the certificate
program,
Mineral Prospecting
Program. The program will run from
August 10 – November 20, 2009. Discover Your Mineral Prospects through the
indepth classroom curriculum and field work at the Bending Lake Iron Camp

Bending Lake Iron
Group announces the completion of the Behre Dolbear & Company (USA) final
report “Preliminary Review, Valuation and Cash Flow Projection, Bending Lake
Iron Ore Deposit and Bending Lake Project”. This report provides a through
third-party independent review and valuation of the project as a whole.

Group announces DST Consulting Engineers, Environmental Services &
Permitting Group as the successful candidate to perform the Environmental
Baseline and Assessment. Mr. Kyle L. Stanfield will head the team.
November 2008
Bending Lake Iron

Lake Property as prepared by Fladgate Exploration Consulting Corporation.
