Mr.
McGuire is responsible for bring issues and updated information relating to
Aboriginal peoples to the attention of the Bending Lake Iron Group project
team. Michael is a strong community leader and his involvement in the Metis
movement has led to his recognition as an Elder and a Pipe Carrier. He
continues to be instrumental in defining traditional law and traditional
knowledge. His keen sense of Aboriginal business and the supports required
to increase Aboriginal participation have lead to solid relationships with
Aboriginal groups, government and private sector ventures.
