Mohammed A. Khan,
VP Technical Services
 He was the
Chief Geologist and Manager, Quality Engineering & Raw Materials for Algoma
Steel (’67-’93). Also a lecturer on Blast Furnace and Coke making at
McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and now provides consulting
services on quality management, product development, technical support and
training to the coal and iron ore industry. Mohammed has authored /
co-authored more than 25 papers for National and International Conferences
and been qualified as an expert witness. Mr. Khan’s work on iron ore
projects in Northwestern Ontario is simply legendary. During 70’s Mohammed,
while he was chief Geologist at Algoma Steel, was solely responsible for
exploration and development of the Bending Lake property. His extensive work
resulted in the up-grading of the ore reserves from 50 million tons (Jallore
Mining) to the present 250 million tons of proven, ore and grade at the
Bending Lake property. Presently, Mr. Khan is actively assisting BLIG as
Director of Technical Services and he is also an active member of the BLIG
board. |
